But you can never recover a comment once you’ve clicked “delete all” in the Akismet Caught Spams.

This is what I read on my Akismet:

“Caught Spam

Akismet has caught 143 spam for you since you first installed it.

You can delete all of the spam from your database with a single click. This operation cannot be undone, so you may wish to check to ensure that no legitimate comments got through first. Spam is automatically deleted after 15 days, so don’t sweat it.

There are currently 5 comments identified as spam.

These are the latest comments identified as spam by Akismet. If you see any mistakes, simply mark the comment as “not spam” and Akismet will learn from the submission. If you wish to recover a comment from spam, simply select the comment, and click Not Spam. After 15 days we clean out the junk for you.”

I was trying to recover a comment I deleted with the spams and didn’t know that once you’ve deleted it, it’s deleted forever…

Thanks for the information. I was able to set up the Akismet plugin, but unfortunately, I guess my deleted comments were more than a month old, so they are still missing! Oops!
