Bestselling print: Camouflage
I drew Camouflage for an Illustration Friday theme of the same name, taking inspiration from my brother’s white rabbit, Mao. It was drawn in a single evening, but then I felt compelled to refine it further, so that it would be good enough to exhibit on RedBubble. It took hours, but it was a work of love.
The striking colours and quiet motif seem to strike a chord with many people. I must confess that I quite like looking at it too!
Bestselling t-shirt: The Wrong Unicorn
One late night, I created a t-shirt based on my illustration, The Wrong Unicorn. It was funny to me, but I knew it wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea.
The t-shirt has now been for sale on RedBubble for nearly a year, and its popularity continues to surpass my wildest hopes and dreams. I certainly had no idea what I was getting into, that night I spent hunched over my drawing tablet, giggling to myself.
